File|Lock
The Lock command lets the administrator of the markbook control whether other users can edit the classes, students, tasks, outcomes or calculations in a markbook. Only the owner of the markbook can use this command.
Turn on the options for the items that you want to lock to limit the changes that can be made, then click Save Changes. You can give set and give the markbook password to any users who you want to be able to bypass the lock.
This is useful for a head teacher to create and set up a markbook with all the tasks and calculations ready to work out the totals for a semester. By locking the tasks and calculations, teachers can then use the markbook without the risk of accidentally altering the outcomes and calculations that have been set up in the markbook.
- The owner of a markbook never needs to enter a password to bypass a lock.
- If you only want to lock some tasks use the Lock results command in the Edit menu.
