- Note down the mean and standard deviation of each class.
- Click on the Return to Markbook button.
- Choose the New|Task command.
- Enter the task name.
- Enter the task maximum.

- Choose the Edit|Calculation command.

- Click the Include button.
- Click the Classes button.
- Select a class in Calculation applied to list.
- Click the Remove button.
- Repeat steps 14 and 15 for each class, except the first one being given a mean and standard deviation.
- Click OK.
- Click the Options button.
- Enter the mean and standard deviation noted for this class from step 3.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- Choose the Edit|Calculation command.
- Click the Classes button.
- Select the class in the Calculation applied to list.
- Click the Remove button.
- Select the next class from the Classes list.
- Click the Include button.
- Click OK.
- Click the Options button.
- Enter the mean and standard deviation noted for this class from step 3.
- Click OK.
- Click on the Save Changes button.
- Repeat steps 22 to 32 for each class.
In doing these steps the Print|Statistics command could be used instead of steps 1 to 4 to print the mean and standard deviation for the task.
When applying a calculation to the same task more than once, note that SM-Marks Online stores only the most recent calculation. This means that if the raw in a class are changed then steps 23 to 33 will need to be repeated for that class.
