Change the number and type of grades assigned by SM-Marks Online?
Initially SM-Marks Online uses in grade calculations five grades from A to E. These are the default grades used in a grade calculation.
These defaults can be changed to another set of grades.
- Choose the Edit|Preferences|Default grades command.
- Edit or enter the grades in the Grade list.
- Click on the Save Changes button.
If you need more grades than there are fields shown, add all the grades than can fit and click OK. Then choose the command again and more fields are shown. This can be done up to a maximum of 30 grades.
The grades set in the Preferences are used in all new grade calculations. After changing the default grades, all the existing grade calculations are unchanged, only new calculations use the default settings.
These are the default grades shown when you do a grade calculation, but you always have a choice of using different grades when setting up a calculation. So you should set the Default grades to those most often used, but you are not limited to using only those grades.
