Find out why N/A from appearing in a task?

The letters N/A are assigned to a student result in a task when the student does not have sufficient results to fulfil the calculation.

It also occurs if a calculation attempts an impossible operation such a division by zero because the standard deviation of a task is zero. This could occur for some calculations when all results in a task are identical.

1. Click on the Calculator icon above the name of the task that you want to check.
2. In the calculation Tasks list note the tasks used in the calculation.
3. Choose Cancel.
4. Visually check each of the tasks noted in step 2 for missing or invalid results.

If you want to allow missing results, in the Edit|Preferences|Calculation methods command set the Ignore missing results option to Yes.
