How do I?

Prevent a markbook from being filled with many tasks of intermediate results that were converted to percentages, or standardised, before weighting?

When using SM-Marks Online there is no need to create tasks with intermediate results, unless those intermediate results are specifically needed.

For example, suppose there are six sets of raw scores out of totals like 10, 23, 50, 100, 82, and 50. These six sets are scores are to be given relative weights of 10%, 20%, 10%, 40%, 5%, and 15% respectively.

With SM-Marks Online you do not need to create six new tasks, each with a calculation that converts the raw scores to the percentages, and then make a final task that has the weight calculation that weights the six intermediate results.

Instead use the Weight calculation on the six tasks of raw scores and specify the weights as given. SM-Marks Online handles the complexity of either converting each raw score to a percentage if linear weighting is being done, or standardising to a set mean and deviation if weighting with standardising is being done.

So instead of requiring 13 tasks to get a final weighted total, only the 7 tasks are required. Unless the intermediate results are actually required, do not explicitly calculate them and keep everything simple.
