Round the results in a task to 2 decimal places?
When a task is first created, any result in the task is displayed as a result rounded to the nearest whole number.
Results with figures after the decimal point can still be entered, and calculations are always done to a minimum of 6 significant figures. The rounding is for the display only.
Each task can round the results to a different number of decimal places for display and printing.
- Click on the Tag icon above the name of the task that you want to adjust.
- Choose the Edit|Decimal places|0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 menu item as appropriate.
Calculations such as Ranking and Grading use the number of decimal places when doing the calculation.
For example, if students have results of 78.347 and 77.900, and the number of decimal places shown is zero, both will get the same position because both results round to 78.
