Print|Marks With|Extra columns

The Print|Marks With|Extra columns command prints students, their results and outcome levels. For more flexible printing of only the outcome levels you can use the Print|Outcomes command. Before selecting the Print|Marks With|Extra columns command, tag each task or outcome to appear on the page. The class shown is the one that is printed. If All Students are displayed then all classes are printed, either as a single list, or as separate classes with one of the options described below. If All Students are displayed and one or more classes are tagged then only the classes with a tag are printed as a single list.

This command is similar to Print|Marks with six additional options.

  • Rank
  • Student ID
  • Class name
  • Teacher name
  • Sort by class
  • Sort by SID

Each of these are options in the Print|Marks With sub menu. When the preview is shown these options change the appearance of the information.

The Sort by class ID is most useful when All Students are shown and the Class name is visible. This groups the students by class, while still keeping the alphabetical order within each class.

When the preview is shown the buttons on the toolbar allow you to change the appearance of the information. On the toolbar as well as changing the appearance of the page such as including lines, the controls below are significant.

ButtonEffect
Show grid linesIncludes lines to separate the rows and columns of the table.
Shade alternate linesShades each second line in the table.
Show alternate viewRemoves the student name from the page and replaces with the student ID.
Show detailed viewIncludes statistics for each task.
Show separate classesWhen All Students is selected the list is separated into the classes. To print the classes on separate pages use the Show as PDF icon on the toolbar.

To print the page, click on the Printer icon on the toolbar and select the new Print Preview window or tab in your browser. Then use the Print command of your browser to print the page.

  • For higher quality printing, click on the PDF icon on the toolbar to open another window or tab in your browser with the pages as a PDF file. These are printed with the PDF plugin of your browser or viewer.
  • The Show separate classes button was called Show items on separate pages in earlier versions of the markbook. To make each class appear on a new page, the Show as PDF button must be used to create the print preview.
