Prepare the class lists for a second semester?

If you have not already, use the Edit Reporting Periods command to make a reporting report for the second semester and select the new second semester with the Set Reporting Period command.

  1. Choose the Copy Classes command.
  2. Select the reporting period of the first semester, that has the classes to be continued for semester two.
  3. Select a year.
  4. Click on the Next button.
  5. Review what is to be copied and make sure the details are as expected.
  6. Click on the Copy button.

These steps must be repeated for each year. After using this command the reporting period for the second semester will have the same classes as the first semester, ready for reusing or importing outcomes.

  • If any classes change course in the second semester for example History , edit this in the Edit Class lists command. It is important to do this before the reports are edited by teachers.

Similarly changes to class lists can be done with the Edit Class Lists or Edit Students' Classes commands.

  • It is important to archive the reports from the first semester with the Set Reports Progress command, before starting the second semester. See the last topic in the How do I? section for details on archiving.
