Introduction

Basic Editing

The SM-Reports Online interface is similar to old SM-Reports. All the commands follow a consistent organisation. Most of the command in the School Details and Report Details have the same look. The left side of the page is the item being edited, the middle is the details, and the right side has the main buttons to control the editing.

Here are the basics of editing.

To make a new item:

  1. Click on the New button.
  2. Enter the name of the item.
  3. Enter the other details.
  4. Click on the Post button.

To change an existing item:

  1. Select the item in the list.
  2. Click on the Edit button.
  3. Change the fields in the details.
  4. Click on the Post button.

To delete an item:

  1. Select the item in the list.
  2. Click on the Delete button.
  3. Click on the Delete button again while the prompt is still visible.

With all three actions if you immediately decide you want to reverse the most recent action, just click on the Oops! button.

You can make as many edits (new, changing, deleting) as necessary while the page is open. All the changes are not yet stored in the database. Once you have finished making the changes, clicking on the OK button makes the stores the changes so they are kept.

  • If you need to discard all of the changes, clicking on the Cancel button twice means everything done since you last opened the command is not saved.
